Annie Armstrong
MFT-I
Over seven years of living abroad in Turkey, Israel, and several regions of Japan, I gained a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and the shared humanity that connects us all. I gave birth to my first daughter in Israel and my second in Japan, often navigating motherhood far from family and familiar support systems. These experiences taught me resilience, empathy, and humility—qualities that have deeply shaped me as both a person and a clinician.
As a Korean-American adoptee, I continue to explore identity, belonging, and the influence of family systems. I am also the mother of two neurodivergent children and have learned firsthand the importance of patience, flexibility, and self-compassion. My husband and I have been together for eleven years and married for seven, and through the natural ebbs and flows of marriage, I’ve come to value communication, curiosity, and shared effort. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping individuals and couples navigate change, deepen understanding, and move toward growth—whether that means healing together or finding peace in new directions.
